Analysis of Thermal Performance of Naturally Ventilated Residential Building in Tropical Climate: Case Study of Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Abstract Comfort of the building is one important factors that hard to achieve for architects and engineers as it depends on both physic psychological parameter. This paper discusses these two aspects thermal performance residential in context hothumid climate. Three different types buildings including townhouse, detached house apartment Phnom Penh, Cambodia were chosen case studies. The analysis each based (a) measurement physical parameters (air temperature, relative humidity, air velocity), (b) occupants survey compare with data from (c) interview know about their satisfaction sensation parameters. Impact designs houses importance influential tropical climate analysed. Comparison results Fanger’s model also indicate velocity comfort region. shows natural ventilation, women 20s 30s feel comfortable temperature 29 30°C humidity 73 75%.
